Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before booking your experience.

Captain Included

What is included in a captain included charter?
Your charter includes a licensed and experienced captain, fuel, all USCG-required safety equipment, and a full safety briefing. Ice and water are also provided onboard. You're welcome to bring your own food, snacks, and beverages.
How many guests can join?
The Cantius 42 Yacht accommodates up to 12 guests. Both charters are 100% private — only your group on board, for the full duration.
What durations are available?
We offer flexible durations from 3 to 10 hours. Half-day and full-day options are most popular. Rates are listed on each vessel's dedicated page and vary by duration.
Can we customize the itinerary?
Absolutely. Itineraries are fully flexible. Popular stops include Cayo Costa, Cabbage Key, Fort Myers Beach, and sandbars. Your captain will work with you to make the most of your time on the water.
What happens if the weather is bad on my charter day?
Guest safety is our top priority. We monitor forecasts closely and will contact you as early as possible if conditions are unsafe. In those cases, we work with you to reschedule at no additional cost.

Self Drive

Do I need a boating license to rent the Stingray?
Florida does not require a boating license for recreational use, but anyone born on or after January 1, 1988 must hold a NASBLA-approved boating safety certificate. All renters must demonstrate basic boating competency during the captain check-in. Renters must be 21 years of age or older.
What is the minimum rental period?
The minimum rental is 3 consecutive days. Daily ($325/day) and weekly ($1,995/week) rates are available. The weekly rate offers the best value and is especially popular as an add-on for guests already staying at a Cape Venture property.
Is there a security deposit?
Yes. A refundable $2,000 hold is placed on your credit card at check-in and released after the boat is returned and inspected in good condition.
Where can I take the boat?
The Stingray 212SC is cleared for Cape Coral canals and Gulf-access waterways, including sandbars and nearby coastal destinations. Specific navigation guidelines and any restrictions will be reviewed with you during the captain check-in.
What is the fuel policy?
We operate a Full-to-Full fuel policy. The boat is delivered with a full 57-gallon tank and must be returned full. If returned short, a fueling fee is deducted from the security deposit. The $200 captain check-in/out fee covers your orientation and the final inspection.
